Other required docs for COE not listed? USA

Featured Replies

After applying for CoE and sending in visa app, after the fact, received a surprise email asking to upload a bank statement. Anyone know if there are any other documents the embassy will ask for to complete CoE and Visa apps that are not listed on website? Want to be prepared because time is sensitive.

It is a standard requirement to show $700 that is their equivalent of 20k baht required for most visa applications.

It is shown on the visa application info for the visa you apply for.

From this page for a non-o visa. https://thaiembdc.org/consular-services/non-immigrant-visas/non-immigrant-visa-category-o/

"5. A copy of recent bank statement  ($700 per person and $1,500 per family) (The name of the applicant must indicated clearly) , In case of submitting family bank statement a proof of relationship (i.e. birth certificate, marriage certificate) must be provided."

I just had to upload my ASQ confirmation and Airline receipt today... Even though I don’t have the dates confirm by Thai Government as of yet... Both airline and ASQ have assured me they will be flexible once the arrival date is confirmed..... I was expecting them to ask for the bank statement but I am assuming they will wait till closer to my departure date to get that info and is sure the COE at that time...

What kind of category do you belong to? They might not ask for a bank statement if you're married or having a Thai kid. It's another story if you're applying for an O-A Visa. The 20k is normally the sum when applying for a single entry tourist visa.

That is not correct. It is for any visa application that does not require other financial proof (OA/OX for example).

For example a non-ed visa. https://thaiembdc.org/consular-services/non-immigrant-visas/non-immigrant-visa-category-ed/

Same for a non-eb. https://thaiembdc.org/consular-services/non-immigrant-visas/non-immigrant-visa-category-b/
