Zen
HI I was reading up on information about becoming Permanent Resident (PR) in Thailand, as I'm interested to become a PR someday. However, I do have some problems which I believe will hinder my path to PR status. Here's my situation: 1) I'm single, and will not get married to any Thai national/citizen (at least for now and the next 20 years!!) 2) I hold a Work Permit as I am a Director and Shareholder of a company in Thailand. However, the other thai shareholders are just "proxies". 3) I only have 2 Thai employees in my company, therefore, my Work Permit expires every 3 months and I'm not able to get a One-Year Work Permit. That means every 3 months I have to fly out of Thailand to get a new Visa (usually a Non-Immigrant B, Single Entry Visa), afterwhich I fly back to Thailand to extend my Work Permit for another 3 months. So, in such a circumstance, is there any possibility for me to apply for PR? If yes, which category should I be applying for? And how do I go about applying? Thank you!
