Crocodile Egg-Eating Contest

Crocodile eggs usually come out during this time of year in Thailand and to make a fun event out of this,

the annual Crocodile Egg Eating Contest and a stage concert with famous Thai singers performing was held on 1st May at the Million Years Stone Park & Crocodile Farm Pattaya with the cooperation of Banglamung Council of Cultural Affairs.

This year Banglamung District Chief Mr. Prathip Chongsubthum opened the 5th Crocodile Egg-Eating Contest and 3 foreigners (Russian Nationals) coloured the event up by participating together with 41 contestants; each attempting to eat 10 croc eggs in the fastest time.

The winner was Mr. Nophanan Parnsaengthong, aged 37, who received 10,000 Baht and a belly ache.

The Rules Of Competition were:

1. each competitor must eat 10 boiled crocodile eggs;

2. the one who finishes eating first, within 10 minutes, will be the winner.
