Our interview is with Gulu Lalvani, the Owner & Developer of the Royal Phuket Marina, who is very proud that Phuket has just been announced as ‘Asia’s Maritime Capital’ at Christofle Asia Boating Awards, by a Singaporean Company, and that the Phuket Kings Cup Regatta also won ‘Yachting Event of the Year’ for Asia, at the same awards, plus very happy to host the Phuket International Boat Show (or PIMEX) in December, 2007 as it moves from its previous home at Boat Lagoon. But first he talks about some great news that average occupancy for Phuket hotels was the highest ever at 90% in January to March this year:
