Hi all. This is probably a basic question, but after researching this for awhile I haven't been able to find an answer so I thought I'd check here just to make sure my visa plans are in the clear.

First, all the pertinent info. I'm 23 and I am a US citizen.

I'm planning a trip to SE Asia this summer with two stops in Thailand. I'll be flying from the states to BKK on June 7th, then leaving overland to Laos a couple weeks later. I'll be returning overland into Thailand from Cambodia about 2 months later (beginning of August).

I'm thinking of picking up a tourist visa at the Thai Consulate before I leave to avoid any problems with the onward ticket requirement for the Visa on Arrival (and I live close to LA where it's located).

My question is: can I use the Visa on Arrival on my second visit a couple months later as long as I get an exit stamp when I leave overland the first time around? I don't know if there are any rules about these two (tourist and 'on arrival') being used together in a certain amount of time. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give me!

It should not be a problem but you will require an airline ticket/confirmed reservation out of Thailand within 30 days from your arrival from Cambodia.

Thanks! I will be leaving Thailand within a week of coming from Cambodia via AirAisa to Malaysia, so a printed ticket confirmation from them should be fine, yes?
