Two senior officials, Hungarian Ambassador test positive for C-19

Two senior Cambodian officials and the Hungarian Ambassador to Cambodia tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday. The Ministry of Health issued a statement yesterday evening confirming that three more officials tested positive after coming in contact with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs Péter Szijjártó during the “November 3 incident”.

 

The three new positive cases include Suos Yara, Member of Parliament and spokesman for the Cambodian People’s Party, Sar Chetra, deputy secretary-general of the Ministry of Agriculture and Csaba Őry, the Hungarian Ambassador to Cambodia and Vietnam.

 

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Hun Sen, along with everyone in his household, have all tested negative for COVID-19 on their second test. Mr Hun Sen made the announcement on his Facebook page yesterday, saying it was a good result.
