It was registered in Thailand before I closed it. I then looked into alternatives to Wise, including Revolut and Remitly. Unfortunately, the major stumbling block for me in the case of each of the organisations I investigated was the UK address requirement. I did, however, have a final hurrah with Wise to transfer across remaining proceeds from the sale of my house in 2021 during the 1-month notice period they gave me. And, going forward, I don't see the need for further significant transfers from the UK. I'm still getting my State Pension paid into my UK account which, when offset by my WRLife GBP premium payments, will likely leave over modest amounts necessitating only very occasional SWIFT transfers from time to time.
