Using golf courses for alternative quarantine will not benefit ministers, says PM

At a Cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha dismissed speculation that using golf courses as alternative state quarantine sites for foreigners would be a conflict of interest as some courses are owned by ministers.

Prayut said people should be given the option of quarantining at a golf course, because then they will have access to open areas but will be isolated as well.

Also, he said, some steps should be taken to improve business, adding that the matter needs to be considered by the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) first.

the entire reason that thailand exists, to benefit the ministers

Of course this quarantine scam will benefit the owners.....that's why it's been raised. .....and of course the army....!

A corrupt government will only benefit themselves.

Finally an initiative that makes sense . No only safe to quarantine on a golf course but it is safe to golf .  We.ve been doing it for months . Easy to social distance while playing . Seperate buggies and  the golfers drive themselves  .  Make it cost attractive and there should be a good market for it once they relax the other unacceptable hoops we need to jump through .

Please take note when you pay your green fees and club membership, unless, of course, you support the Generals and their "elite!!

According to Wikipedia, the Thai Army owns over 30 golf courses nationwide.

I love some courses that insist on you taking a cart at this time which the caddie drives.

I have less chance of being infected if the caddie is walking with me 5 yards behind

Wow they must be well paid ministers . What’s the average cost of a golf course and up keep ? Not cheap I bet !
