DJ54
I think village wedding was @ 60,000... then the day after went to buy something at the bigger village shop that sells bulk alcohol and other things, the shop handed and what’s? Papa came and got a few cases of alcohol. We’d bought 20 cases of beer and 3 cases small bottles of Thai whiskey. Mid morning food and drinks at sit down tables. We were another or so taking before going outside.,.. this was like 09:00 am look all the alcohol is gone.. come early to eat and got what they thought was their share ... and someone took a strawberry plant... I’m like what? Anyway the best to you on your happy day...

That's all that I was prepared to put up with. I'm happy to say had no monks, sponging "guests", gay guys, or any villagers looking for a free nosh up for my "wedding" so 20 baht or whatever the amphur staff required and cost of petrol to and from the office. Instead the family managed to steal borrow as much as they could from me before I got divorced, so she probably ended up costing me as much as a flash all singing dancing wedding anyway.

I've been will the GF 15 years , got 3 kids , house , cars etc etc. So thought it was time to get married. It will be a village wedding (Korat) , I was looking at the over all cost and breakdowns if possible? Wedding party, Food, Drinks , pre wedding photos, all that sort of stuff. Thanks hope that makes it a bit clearer My wife was just at 2 pretty nice village weddings, she said the buffet food was 1500baht/table of 10, so 150pp I think she said the big band was 70k, but I think they can get pretty expensive, depending on how grand you want to go
midzo
I paid no sin sod and got the venue for free. For costume rental for six people, invitations, mobile toilet truck, beer service, food for 150 people, tables & chairs, sound system, decorations, flowers, Thai musicians and entertainers (fabulous!), videographer, photographer and wedding planner, I spent about 80,000. It was a gorgeous event. I did almost nothing but write the check. My spouse and the wedding planner handled all the details. Nice surprise: the wedding guests gave nearly 100,000 baht. This was five years ago. We’re still happily married.
