Hi all,

I currently have a B visa with work permit. My wife and daughter have O visa. My daughter goes to an international school here, at grade 3.

Now, I have to leave the country for taking up a new work opportunity (which will cancel all of our visa). However, my wife and daughter wants to stay back.

Now, If I understand it correct, their stay in the kingdom can be extended for a year for education purpose. But, it requires a steady bank deposit of half a million for at least 3 months (what we dont have at the moment).

A few Bangkok based visa agency offered to do it (extension of stay for my wife and daughter) for 50K to 60K. And they said, they will take care of producing the necessary bank paper as a proof of the bank deposit.

Do any of you ever did this? Is the quoted price sound about right?

Also, more importantly, is it safe to employ such visa agency which presumably will do under-hand dealing?

Any suggestion/insight would be much appreciated. Cheers.

The agency can obtain legal stamps and zero risk.

My advice is to deal with agent that has profile, meaning office, website, etc

I am not familiar with your particular situation.

I suggest you visit agent office near your location.

BTW the price you mentioned sounds very reasonable if that's for both.

Would think that amount each.

For the first extension based upon being the parent of child attending school the 500k baht only needs to be in the bank for 30 days.

Your child will need to have a extension based upon attending school for your wife to apply for the extension.
