Just took my 3 sets of documents (original and 2 copies) to a JP. He would only sign the 2 copies, refused to sign the original set as it would "deface" the original. I assume the Thai Embassy in Canberra will want all 3 sets signed? If so, how the <deleted> do I get a JP to do it?

Couple of years ago I only had one set signed and stamped, they did not complain.

You used a JP I assume as per the OP.

I had my application rejected years back at Canberra. (at least they returned application fee).

I actually rang Canberra and passed up the food chain to helpful senior officer.

The reason application was rejected was that I used JP and not a Notary.

When I pointed out that on embassy website that both were acceptable. Her reply priceless

......."yes but some immigration officers do not like you use JP"

Apparently Thai operate same way in and out of Thailand.

Note read many reports of success using JP.
