BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister attended the 27th APEC Summit, held virtually through a video conference at government house.

The Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha yesterday attended the opening ceremony of the 27th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit, hosted by Malaysia, this year in a virtual format.

After the ceremony, the Thai Prime Minister said the APEC Summit is important for the 21 APEC countries, which Thailand will host in the next 2 years.

The Prime Minister said that APEC member countries issued a mutual statement on cooperation in all areas, especially digital cooperation and development, as well as approving APEC’s agenda for beyond 2020.

Gen Prayut said Thai people need to know that the government will move forward with the global community, stressing that internal stability is most important, to allow the country to advance in a world full of changes, new technologies and digital disruption.

Nothing will happen....mutual cooperation? What does that even mean nowadays?

Video virtual conference summits are rarely useful,   merely symbolic and nothing else.

There was one exception which was RCEP agreement signing by 15 countries.

Virtual showing of the signature and signed book of each RCEP member is as good as in-person summit.

So what about that recent story of a regional group appeal for Thailand to reduce unnecessary "red tape"? Will that ever go anywhere? What would it take for that to go anywhere?

What is a military academy educated ex soldier, an unelected "PM",  doing in that sort of company? ????

The only cooperation is with the CCP as the bad students stated. Donasours in the mist. You are just destroyers waging a internal war on allowing the country to reopen with what's really needed. White clean smelling farangs. Not Chinese that buy Nth Korean woman as sex slaves

Great, resign. Stability and prosperity will return, once you resign.

After using "disruption" and "stability" in the same sentence, he should resign.  He is an embarrassment.
