Video: Outrageous! Armed man steals 500K from BAAC branch in western Bangkok

CCTV footage showed a man with a surgical mask enter a Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives branch in Soi Ekkachai 86 in Bang Bon, western Bangkok.

 

He soon pulls out a gun from a shoulder bag and points it directly at a female bank employee who flees in terror. 

 

He then brandishes the gun at three staffers behind the counter. Two females take cover then a third, larger man also hides under the counter.

 

The robber pulls down a Covid screen and vaults the counter and starts helping himself to cash in the drawers. 

 

He escaped with 500,000 baht. 

 

Police are not sure what vehicle he used to enact his getaway.

 

Bang Khun Thian police were called at 3 pm and are investigating. 

 

Sanook called the incident "most outrageous" in their headline.

Never seen a Thai bank so empty!

 

With the rice prices so low he decided that the Agricultural cooperative bank should cooperate.

Perhaps they should look for a tractor ????

He was wearing a medical mask, 

From what was to been seen it looked liked he only grabbed three or four bundles of money which all fit into his super sturdy

plastic bag.   I'm going to guess that he did not really get 500K.
