Cambodia contact tracing had a wild Saturday night with at least 10 locations searched for COVID-19 victims

With the number of community cases at 362 as of Sunday night, contact tracing working group had a wild night on Saturday as they frantically connected the dots of various sites where actual infections could have taken place and then tracing the location of others who had immediate direct contact with the affected victims.

 
 
A senior source in the working group said officially, the main sites were Canadia Tower where there was one positive case and subsequently cleared as others were tested negative, Cathay United Bank headquarter where two were detected positive and linked to the Bank of China case, Pedro store at Sihanoukville boulevard where at least seven victims were infected, linked to the Cathay Bank and Bank of China case, Carl’s Junior fast food outlet at Toul Tompong one which is related to Pedro store and a second case originating from the fast food outlet where an associate of an employee was detected positive, to Zando store in Street 63 where the victims had gone shopping without adequate protection, Aeon 1 mall where the first known and identified victim had visited several stores for shopping and also to dine to Borey Peng Houth gated community at Chbar Ampov where the Prisons Director lived, Deam Computers along Sihanouk boulevard where one case was detected linked to Bank of China, Borey Lim Chheang Hak in Phnom Penh’s Chhbar Ampov district and Sangkat Niroth, Khan Chbar Ampov in addition to Toul Tompong 1.
