Not making a larger vaccine order from Pfizer was a HUGE mistake.   If the vaccine for any reason was not approved, it could not be sold and thus the US would be out either no or a minimal amount of money.   If the US bought too much of the vaccine, I am sure the additional doses could easily be off-loaded to another country.   

 

Considering that Trump considers himself to be such a good businessman, have a large stock of a vaccine that will be needed by billions there is no economic risk.

All the vaccine that is contracted to the US government will go to Americans, the rest will go to who ever has a contract with the particular company. 

Anyway he will not even be president when the vaccine is widely disributed.

For his next meaningless Executive Order, 45 probably will declare "Water must be wet".

Virologists and epidemiologists say if herd IMMUNITY is possible (unknown), it would require 70% of the population to acquire the infection. At this point, estimates say at most 15% of Americans have contracted it (assumed from the ratio infected/tested), and that to reach 70% would mean several hundred thousand more Americans would die.

 

Most people would not applaud another few hundred thousand dead citizens.

 

45 then used the public platform to spew out his now-usual grievances about the election, where his attempts to overturn the result now stand at 1-51 in court.
