STD Warehouse Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 We are considering moving to bangkok in January for 3-12 months so our 3 year old (turns 4 in january) daughter can attend speech therapy, she currently goes to a government preschool down here on the Island we live on. Although the most important reason to stay in bangkok for 3-12 months is for regular sessions at a professional speech therapy center, it would be good if she could also go to school. What are the school options? She s a Thai and British national so a government school is always possible, but would an international school accept her mid way through a year to be there for the remainder of the academic year?

International schools are generally quite flexible as to accepting students during the year. Certainly possible if it's at the beginning of any of the terms. They do however like to charge a considerable registration fee that makes short enrollments very expensive. Due to Covid-19 low demand conditions you will find that some schools are willing to waive this fee or give large discounts.
