BNH Hospital confirmed that four of its health staff working in an alternative state quarantine (ASQ) unit in Bangkok have tested positive for Covid-19.

The announcement on Wednesday came shortly after the Department of Disease Control reported that some health workers in alternative state quarantine had contracted Covid-19 after one of them took the temperature of a family of three in ASQ between November 24 and 27.

“The infected workers have been separated and treated under strict protocols of the hospital and supervision of the Public Health Ministry, while their close contacts have been traced,” BNH said.

“Other staff who carry a high risk of having close contact with the infected staff have also been quarantined, while those carrying a low risk were tested and all have negative results,” it said.

“The hospital has also employed preventive measures to make sure that all areas of the facility are infection-free,” it added. “If you are still concerned about the risk of infection at the hospital, you can opt to receive consultation services through our virtual platform online.”

Here we go again, how lovely, anymore unchecked returnees for Burma waltzing in with no care in the world?...

I hope they've got this managed.....!

I have the feeling that the Thai government know that they have not hoodwinked anyone so they are trying to make us believe that it just arrived here, brought in from outside.

Once they give the real figures of COVID in Thailand (by slowly easing them in) then tourists might believe that they are being honest.

We all know if it sounds to good to be true then it's a scam. Perhaps they've just woken up to this. Unfortunately it's not fooling anyone.

Too little to late.

How absolutely amateurish and unprofessional.

A Year into this Virus, and this Hospital cannot Train its Staff, or issue them the correct PPE to use during their Duties.

There really is no excuse for this, and just smacks of profit over Safety ( not just their Staff, but the people in ASQ as well )

And now No

lawsuits all dropped for these Prostitutes

Makes one question the source of the infections in the many in ASQ who test positive after some period of time.

Those people taking the temperatures of others are at risk everyday.

Yes, I see the outrage, because no medical staff in western nations have been infected at work have they :coffee1:

It's time to prevent positive passengers flowing into the country.

They know exactly how to do this - test Thai nationals before they step onto the plane.

It's that simple.....at the moment.

No good to hear. Hope the poor folks recover okay. I hope too the foyer piano player stays healthy!

I love to sit and listen to him playing when I visit and reclining beneath the chandeliers (although I think I might make myself a tad scarce from my dermatologist for a while).
