The Public Health Ministry has advised people not to believe or share reports claiming that a man in Suphanburi province has recently died from Covid-19.

“The original post claimed that the man died from Covid-19 on November 8, and his funeral will be held on December 13-14,” the ministry’s Department of Disease Control said. “We have confirmed that this information is untrue, as no deaths have been reported on the said date. The death toll from Covid-19 in Thailand remains unchanged at 60.

“People should not panic over unverified rumours and should only accept data released by related government agencies,” it said. “Most importantly, people should continue taking precautions to protect themselves from Covid-19, such as wearing face masks, washing their hands regularly and avoiding crowded areas.

“If there is a death from Covid-19, the department will announce it immediately,” it said.

OK......????

Regards Worgeordie

So why was his body not released in order to have a funeral after he died? Why did the family have to wait until now to have the ceremony a d final farewell.  Something does not add up.  Thais usually send their deceased family members off in either 3, 5 or 7 days.  They do not lay in state like a monarch or the pope.
