Neeranam
When I start my computer I get yellow balloon saying that files are ready to be written to cd. I want to stop this. Anyone know how? To view these files I clicked the baloon and see lots of files. However, I can't open some of them. It says, "you are attempting to open a file of type DAT type, these files are used by the operating system and various programs. Editing or modifying them could damage your system. While I here, there is another thing bugging me - I have programs called limewire and paltalk. I don't want them opening when I start the computer. Any ideas on how to stop this? Cheers NN
sniffdog
Check the drive number which is your CD writer. If there are files, remove them.

Click on 'Run' on the startup menu and enter msconfig. Look under 'Startup' and deselect the ones you don't want running at startup.
