In November I many many others paid 3900 baht ??

It seems they have stopped asking for the extra 2k baht. Some people called the 1178 helpline about it.

Probably a rhetorical 'internal affairs' question but where there any repercussions for those Imm officers that pocketed the extra 2.000,- THB?  And in case of having been charged that incorrect price for the extension and having a receipt, are there options to recuperate the 2.000 THB from IO?

There is about a zero chance of getting a refund.

The receipt only showed 1900 baht from what I have been told.

The official cost is 1900 - i have had 2 extensions and paid that price (Hua Hin)

Hi, I will be in Hua Hin next and need to extend for short term visa by Dec 30.

Did you have to book a day/time in advance or simply walk in and submit your paperwork ?

A appointment is not required there. Just walk in and request the extension.

You can just walk in - you have to do it at the main Immigration office on Soi 88

They do ask for a lot more paperwork than other offices
