PHUKET: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) is moving to have two former Phuket Public Prosecutors charged for corruption for allegedly demanding money from a defendant in order to drop charges of encroaching on state land.

One of the two prosecutors was the Chief of the Phuket Public Prosecutor’s office at the time.

NACC spokesman Niwatchai Kasemmongkol announced the news following a meeting at the NACC headquarters in Bangkok on Monday (Dec 21).

Gosh.  They must be shocked that there's gambling going on in this establishment.

I wonder if there's a committee that decides when it's someone else's turn at the trough, or if it just depends on who these guys hacked off recently.

There's another way to look at that .

That is, they could've been Offered  a Donation to make the Charge to go Away.

It is  a reason to applaud  the application of  anti corruption remedies .

What is eligible to "bash" is the selective  application .

Given that the  majority of  Thai are  victim to  corruption and avoidance of  legal process does not  mean they would not  welcome  even for themselves a genuine shift  to  the elimination of it.

It is not so much as  "heads in sand" as it is repression and  retaliation for not complying to  and even to the extent  of adopting the "norm".
