Five hundred migrant workers have been successfully treated for Covid-19 and will be handed certificates of recovery, the Department of Disease Control (DDC) said.

.Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the DDC, on Monday said that the Public Health Ministry has handed over a document certifying Covid-19 immunity to some migrant workers who have recovered. The documents were given on Sunday to some as a proof of their recovery.

However, there are many other people who have recovered in the Central Shrimp Market Community. The ministry is preparing to hand over documents to confirm their recovery.

However, they will still have to be quarantined in a designated area.

Very fast recovery, was there no insurance to milk?

Is this a new growth industry? Will they use leather or suede? In the future it's just a wipe down with a damp cloth then?

So, we have no vaccine, and international news outlets talk of reinfections, and new strains etc.

How genuine is it?

I would become a temporary migrant worker if I could get this magical certificate!!

the round figure of 500 suggest it's jus a propaganda exercise, to boost the ministry and the government credibility.

Treating covid symptoms takes place in the hospital and not in shrimp market surrounded by barbwire.

The government said over 1200 were positive but 90% asymptomatic. So only some 120 shown some infection.

How now over 500 are "cured"?

What medicines were used?

Thailand did use tamiflu and the other antiviral medicines to treat covid back in February. Some recovered after 48h taking cocktail of medicines, but there was not follow up with a proper scientific research

Unless they have some new magic cure, i suggest they stick to "recovered".

I don't believe it's known whether you can get CV19 again.  And if so, how long are you immune.  Terrible decision by the people here.

That's OK - another certificate for them. Collect three and receive a free bottle of aspirin.

You are assuming these people showed symptoms - most appear to be asymptomatic. They probably have tested negative in follow-up tests. Either way, these 500 people should appear in the 'recovery' statistics if it is indeed a true number.

Has Jesus came already and i din't notice? to cure the sick so fast.. they should patent this super fast 'cure' and sell it to the rest of the world...

The certificate is a till receipt from 7/11 for 20 bahts worth of Paracetamol.

Take two every fours hours.... temperature drops you pass the gun test ..you are cured now you dont have Covid .

Next!

Cured or a symptomatic and issue resolved naturally???????

I have no idea what these government certificates are supposed to mean, or for what purpose they might be used.

For starters, someone who's already had COVID definitely can be re-infected a second time, that has been confirmed.

The related issue is the belief that most people who've actually had COVID probably carry SOME level of immunity for SOME period of time. But that remains a very fuzzy issue AFAIK, and the duration of immunity likely varies from person to person.

Well it is the hub cures, just look back at the number of cures claimed over the past couple of years - problem is the rest of the world were too stupid to use them - wonder why that is?

Illegal Migrant gets certificate showing they are cured much like the medical certificate one gets when discharged from the hospital.  However, at the bottom in very small print it will say "Holder of this certificate has been cleared for immediate deportation back to whence they came from"

Let the propaganda begin.

Thailand’s miracle cure.

Wonderful Thailand

They can "cure" Covid.

They can also "lure" millionaire tourists!

What a load of old Tosh

Recovered  or treated, it makes not a jot of difference.

Unless Thailand has a new Magic Wand of some kind that the rest of the Medical Fraternity Globally has not yet found or used, these People are neither cured or have been treated.

They just passed a Temperature Gun Test

Only another 1, 999,500 to go.

Some of the re-infections may be due to a genetic variation of the SARS-II virus. Much in European news lately.

Exactly you can’t cure a virus only lessen the symptoms, then again if Thailand has found a miracle cure nations in the world will be placing orders  boosting the export industry., who needs tourism ?
