Hey guys and gals. Searched but didn’t find my answer. I have a Non-OA visa (expires Nov21) - currently in Thailand now. Original plan was to leave on Jan 3. I want to leave later. Other than moving the flight out, is there anything else I need to do? Do I need to extend my COVID insurance (already have the 1 year health coverage for the visa). Anything else to consider? Many thanks.

When does your current permit to stay that you got from you last entry expire. You will need a re-entry permit to keep it valid when you enter the country again.

Does your health insurance cover covid 19 treatment up to at least $100,000.

When does your health insurance expire?

Visa expires Nov21. Have visa insurance through the duration. However, my COVID insurance expires on Jan 3. So you’re saying I need both the main health insurance policy as well as the COVID specific.

As you’re probably aware, the COVID requirement was for the COE and not the actual visa approval.

Thanks

You will need the covid 19 insurance valid for your length of stay when enter the country again. It is not required to leave the country.

Thanks. But maybe I’m not being clear. I want to extend my trip from my original departure date (Jan 3) to some future date. To do this do I need another COVID only policy for that duration?

You will not need insurance of any kind to leave the country. The covid 19 insurance is only required on the day you enter the country.

Surely if his OA is valid until November 21 he does not need a re entry permit to keep it valid as long as he re enters Thailand before November 21, when he will be stamped in for a further 12 months. As far as I am aware he only needs a re entry permit to keep a permit to stay after the visa has expired

Might depend on how much longer his insurance is valid. It is sometimes written below the Visa Stamp.
