Dear All,

1st of all needless to say that i am getting mad really mad with the purchase i

made 1 year ago. I bought a philips plasma tv 127c wide at the horrific cost

of abt 3'900usd and recently purchased the ps3 and to my great astonishment

there is no HDMI connector on this tv only DVI so i have today purchased an

hibrid cable called HDMI/DVI so i can connect the ps3 to the tv now that

i can finally see an hd movie using the bluy ray player incorporated in the ps3

but on my screen either when i watch an hd movie or playing a game i have

multiple red points moving around on the screen but this does not happen

when i watch the television. I had this problem before also when i was playing

with the xbox 360 (which i sold to buy the ps3) i am thinking that maybe it is

only a cable problem or worst i dont know, PLSE HELP is there anything that

can be done.

With regards

Hi,

The xbox360 doesn't have a HDMI cable, else I would have said it was pixel crawl from a poor quality cable - However as I'm guessing you used a component cable for the 360 this can't be the case.

Are you sure you are setting them to 480p, I'm doubting the Plasma is higher resolution if boughta year ago, although it may be.

If its no the cable or resolution, then it could be the timing etc...try hooking your PC up to the Plasma to see if you have the same problem probably have to set it to 840x480 to display the PC pic.
