SAMUT SAKHON (NNT) - The ministry of Labor sent officers to search for and test both Thai and migrant workers in a maximum control area in order to prevent further spreading.

Thai and migrant workers in Samut Sakhon province have been receiving proactive COVID-19 testing as a result of cooperation between the Ministry of Labor and related authorities, in order to control the spread of infection in the maximum control area.

According to the ministry, laborers will be tested with the PCR method and will know the result within 6 - 8 hours. Those who are positive will be admitted to hospital, in accordance with the Ministry of Public Health’s policy.

Minister of Labour, Suchart Chomklin said PM Prayut Chan-O-Cha and the cabinet are worried about the safety of Thai residents and workers. The government then ordered all related authorities to launch a proactive search in the maximum control area, in order to prevent infections from affecting the Thai economy and the citizens’ well-being.
