webfact Posted January 12, 2021 Share Posted January 12, 2021 Contract for MRT Pink Line spur delayed By The Nation Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob Transport Minister Saksayam Chidchob postponed plans to present the revised MRT Pink Line extension contract to Cabinet on Tuesday, saying it still lacked details. He added that the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand will gather more details on the two-station extension before sending them to the Office of the Attorney-General (AOG) for legal scrutiny. The extension branches off to the 34.5-kilometre Kae Rai-Minburi Pink Line monorail and runs 3km from Sri Rat station on Chaengwattana Road to Muang Thong Thani. The revised contract covers joint investment on the design, civil work, train operation and maintenance. Northern Bangkok Monorail, which will operate the Pink Line, will invest around Bt3.379 billion to build the extension.
