Expats in Thailand may soon be required to take a COVID-19 test in order to extend their extensions of stay or so called retirement or marriage visas, according to Richard Barrow.

The Thai authorities were anxious to play down suggestions that the country has turned a corner in the battle against Covid-19 this week. Though the figures suggested a slowing down in the rate of infection and the possible easing of restrictions early next month the public was urged not to drop their guard.

Economic impact of Covid-19 second wave less severe than in 2020: BOT

PM appoints committees to investigate source of the latest COVID-19 outbreak

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has signed an order to form two special committees to investigate illegal gambling and smuggling of illegal migrants, which have been blamed for the latest COVID-19 outbreak. The committees are each required to submit a report on the results of their investigations every month.
