Aerial problems can fix?

Got a new TV, but it won't work with the old Panasonic recorder. This old blue ray device allows us to record any show from the TV.

The aerial cable goes from the house areal, to the recorder, then from that to the TV. 
Worked fine before, but now when we try this with the new TV, no signal.

Anyone know how to fix this? We'd like to continue to use the recording device with the new TV, which works fine if we plug the aerial in directly without going through the recorder.
