Police Incident report

Featured Replies

I've heard it's possible to report an incident to the Police without them pressing charges.

Also told that it acts as a way of protecting yourself against said person making a false claim.

Is this true or anyone have any more details.

Go to the police station or a lawyer and find out.

There has to be a reason to get a report filed.

Chances are nothing reported to the police will be acted upon without financial incentive

Yes. Company I worked for before in Isan made a police complaint against an individual who was harassing our staff (followed staff vehicle in his own vehicle honking his horn and blocked the road so staff couldn't get out for about 5 minutes).  Complaint was filed at the police station with video and prints in support. Police asked if company wanted to press charges which would have been a 200 baht fine. We (company) said no just keep the complaint on file.
