Tourism Ministry Seeks Vaccines for Tourism Industry

BANGKOK (NNT) - The Tourism and Sports Ministry will request for 5 million doses of vaccination for the tourism industry and also push a vaccine passport measure to enable foreigners to return in the third quarter of this year.

 

Minister Phiphat Ratchakitprakarn said the vaccines are required for 2.5 million employees in the high-risk tourism sector, focusing on major tourist cities.

 

According to the reopening plan, Thailand will accept foreign tourists in the second half of this year, targeting 5-10 million visitors.

Looks like the first several million will be earmarked for those outside of those in direct need.  Thailand way of doing things. 

 

Lets vaccinate the tourism industry folks first, we do not need to worry about our elderly, that's called population control.  We need money and my pockets are getting empty fast.  My predictions need to come true, so without vaccinations I will loose FACE, Phipat said.....

There was lots of talk about 10d quaranten, but that hasn't happened yet......

what about some 1mln working in health? 

and many more millions in essential municipal services, transport?

without them country will suffer during the next wave.

tourism sector is not that important, even many foreigners in thailand are involved, running foreign tourists oriented businesses.

Those 2.5mln from tourism will potentially spread virus through their families to general population.

Now wise to open the country, before any vax program on a large scale

So the "tourism sector" is high risk for Thais to work in. Interesting positioning.

 

And from where does he seek these vaccines? The "government"?

Tourists, vaccinated ones, can still carry covid. Unless you vaccinate Thailand, large scale tourism without quarantines will not be allowed. Back to square one. Cue the ever helpful Dr Yong; pediatric gastroenterologist and renaissance man, for a reality check.

Yep. Masseuses and working girls first. Covid-19 free sex could be just the incentive tourists need to return in their millions. It may also be popular with a few of our TVF members.

lol, look at the countries with the highest death rates in the world if you want to see government greed at it's finest. The difference in Thailand from countries like the US/UK is that in those countries they listened to fools like this, resulting in a totally needless huge body count that didn't do a damn thing for the economy anyways. This guy is as clueless as Trump and Johnson if he thinks the Thais are going to open the door to international pox carriers anytime soon.

   My goodness what a lot of fighting over that teeny tiny shipment of 50,000 doses.  With no more doses until June at the very earliest, save your breath.

I saw a few videos (3) on Youtube today, one showing that US supreme court ordered a hospital to continue treatment with Ivermectin for a patient as that patient was being treated by their external Dr with it before entering hospital.

 

The other one showed that the Slovakian Health Minister sort and got approval to give Ivermectin to his people for Covid 19.

 

The last one stated that 47 studies were under way to see if Ivermectin could be used for Covid 19 with different doses, the results aren't all in, but some show promising results, and the CDC or NIH, can't remember update their website to more or less say, it doesn't recommend it, but if a health practitioners prescribed it than it was ok with them.

 

This to me is something different from all of the vaccine news we have been receiving, however I haven't seen mainstream media picking up on this or giving it a fair run. Ivermectin has been around and used on similar diseases for some time now, so why not keep those studies/trials going, after all, it's a cheap alternative to gene therapy/vaccines, call them what you like that are being prescribed under "emergency use".
