Surat Thani Town I/O -- Covid Extension -- Under Consideration Stamp ?

Hi,

 

I'm thinking about travelling to the town of Surat Thani for a 60 day Covid Extension.

 

Questions:

1.  Do they make you return a second time for the final 60 day stamp?

2.  I've never heard anything about this immigration office.  Are they generally helpful to tourists staying in a local hotel or do they prefer you going to the Samui office instead?
