webfact
Govt and Opposition get ready for no-confidence debate Sirakij Pornbanggird BANGKOK (NNT) - Today is another opportunity for the government parties to prepare ministers who are going to be questioned to be ready to counter the opposition parties, while the government whip is confident that the government parties will act in unity. Over the weekend, the government parties and ministers attended a special seminar specifically held to get the ministers ready for any questions that may come up during the no-confidence debate on February 16 - 18. Sunday was scheduled for Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Jurin Laksanawisit, Minister of the Interior General Anupong Paojinda, Minister of Education Nataphol Teepsuwan and Deputy Minister of the Interior Nipon Bunyamanee, to orient answers to questions that could be asked by the opposition. The chief government whip, Wirat Rattanaset revealed that today each minister was assisted in clarifying issues that may be raised by the opposition. However, the chief admitted that it was hard to predict topics from the Move Forward Party as they are new-gen people. On the other side of the parliament, Pheu Thai party MP Yuttapong Charasathien as a chief of the Pheu Thai no-confidence debate, outlined that initially the party and those allied with it, plan to introduce 38 MPs state motions, comprising 15 from Pheu Thai, 13 from Move Forward and the other 10 from smaller parties. According to the coming no-confidence debate, the initiator of the debate will be Sompong Amornvivat the leader of opposition parties; to be followed by each party leader and then the MPs. The debate will allow each MP to stand and state motions against each minister multiple times. Each question against the ministers can also be related to the Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha. This method is expected to bring an end to the questions more effectively and clearer than in any other debates. -- © Copyright NNT 2021-02-15 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates

mtls2005
With 250 hand-picked Senators its safe to say that the PM could shoot someone on Rama I/Ploen Chit Road and not worry about a censure. After ~ twenty or so tries they finally got it "right". Democracy Lite, Tastes Awful, and You Will Like It.
