Body Found in Mukdahan Forest: Suspected to be Dead for Seven Days
Early on the morning of October 5, at approximately 08:00, the Khamchai unit of the Ruamjai Mukdahan Rescue Association responded to a report of a body found in a remote forest area near the entrance to Huai Rai Reservoir 2. The report, which originated from a concerned local, led rescue teams to a secluded area in Khamcha-i District, sparking a prompt response from both rescue and law enforcement agencies. Upon reaching the scene, the rescue team found a blue-black Honda motorcycle with the license registered in Chonburi, parked near the forest entrance. Following a search through the forest the lifeless body of a woman was discovered hanging from a tree by a rope, approximately 200 metres from the motorcycle, Initial investigations by the rescue team and officers from the Phueng Daet Police Station suggest that the woman had been deceased for at least seven days, based on the state of the body. In the motorcycle a ID for Ms Napa, aged 40 was found, which is believed to belong to the victim, but visual confirmation was not possible due to the state of decomposition. The advanced state of decomposition has made it difficult to determine the exact cause of death immediately, though foul play has not been ruled out. Forensic examination at the scene was conducted in conjunction with the on-call physician from Mukdahan Hospital. Following the examination, the body was handed over to the Dong Mon emergency medical services team, who transferred the remains to Mukdahan Hospital for an autopsy. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances that led to this tragic event. At this stage, they have asked the public to come forward with any information that may assist how she came to be in this isolated location. Picture from responders. -- 2024-10-06 -

Pattaya Hotel Guest Locks Herself in Bathroom, Arrested After 30-Minute Standoff
Police in Pattaya were called to a local hotel after a Thai female guest refused to leave her room upon the expiration of her rental period. The woman, under the influence of drugs, locked herself in the hotel bathroom, prompting a 30-minute negotiation before she was apprehended. Authorities discovered cannabis and drug paraphernalia in the room. The incident occurred on October 4, when officers from Pattaya City Police Station, along with municipal officials from the Public Order Division, were summoned to the scene after the hotel’s staff reported the disturbance. The female guest, who had rented a room for five days, refused to vacate when her stay ended, barricading herself in the bathroom. Hotel employees had attempted to convince her to leave but were unsuccessful. The woman grew increasingly agitated, yelling and screaming inside the bathroom. After 30 minutes of negotiations failed to calm her down, officials called in a locksmith to unlock the bathroom door, allowing them to enter and arrest her. The woman appeared disoriented and was unresponsive to questioning, exhibiting signs of drug use. Authorities found cannabis and a smoking device in the room. Initial reports suggest the woman had violated several hotel rules during her stay, including drug use, and had become aggressive when asked to leave. She was taken to Pattaya City Police Station to calm down, and her family has been contacted to collect her from police custody. -- 2024-10-06 -

Tm47 online submission "rejected"
I have no personal experience with the TM.47 report because I've never been in a situation where I would have had to submit it. Does this rejection notice come by email or on the online platform? -

White Culture
So this is interesting. I'm a latino, but like many of us I'm white as the driven snow, but with black hair. I've grown up my whole life in the US, but I'm still latino. I can bounce between full blown white American and pseudo Mexican in a heartbeat, and in reality Mexican apart from the language is basically the same. So what 'white' culture 'is' not exactly sure what that means When I lived in San Diego I could go to the mall on a Saturday and probably half the people would have crossed the border from TJ, looking exactly like me talking Spanish, and basically 'white' -

British National Killed in Sattahip Motorcycle Accident
Pol. Lt. Col. Thammanchit Sittisart, Deputy Inspector of Sattahip Police Station, was notified on the evening of October 5, at around 20:40 of a fatal accident involving a foreigner on a motorcycle. The incident occurred near the U-turn bridge in front of Boonthavorn store, on the inbound side of Sukhumvit Road, Bang Saray sub-district, Sattahip district, Chonburi province. Emergency responders from Sattahip Hospital and the Sawang Rojanatham Foundation attended the scene. Upon arrival, officers found a red-and-black Kawasaki Z900 motorcycle with registration in Chonburi, heavily damaged. Lying nearby was the lifeless body of a 66-year-old British man, identified as Mr. Garrad. The victim suffered severe head trauma, including a fractured skull and a large laceration on the back of his neck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The impact site was identified as a damaged traffic sign marking the approach to the U-turn bridge. Witnesses reported that the deceased had just returned to Thailand the day before and had gone out for a ride with friends. His wife, upon hearing the tragic news, rushed to the scene. An eyewitness, Mr. Apiwat, stated that he saw two large motorcycles coming down the road. While the first rider successfully made the U-turn towards Pattaya, the second rider collided head-on with the traffic sign, causing his body to be thrown from the bike. Emergency services were alerted, but the victim had already succumbed to his injuries. Authorities have documented the scene and will question witnesses further to determine the exact cause of the crash. The body has been transferred to the Police General Hospital in Bangkok for an autopsy to confirm the cause of death, as part of the ongoing investigation. Picture from responders. -- 2024-10-06 -

Urine infection
Same here. Depending on the infection, and its location, sometimes drinking juice with a good amount of cranberries in it, or outright cranberry juice, can sometimes get rid of a UTI. For most people it will change the Ph of their urine, which can sometimes kill an infection. If it does not help at all after several days, it is time for the doc. This will absolutely not work for STDs such as gonorrhea. -

Bringing Meat/Cheese into Thailand
I like to make everything myself. Smoking a ham is also on my list of abilities. Thailand has even encouraged me to get into cheese making but since aging cheese takes months, I need an initial supply to start my annual stay. It is possible to find good Ribeye but the price is high, they're often out of stock AND the quality is lower. My girlfriend does raise buffalo so maybe I can convince her to give me a calf and I'll feed it the corn it needs to be delicious! But otherwise, I can bring about 90 kg of stuff every year with 3 bags so I might as well take advantage of it. The plan is to build foam insulated boxes and keep each bag within the limit as listed by the FDA. -
