crabstix
I have some students who are pre-intermediate level who want to study IELTS but are struggling with the vocabulary used in ielts coursebooks. Does anyone know of any books which they can recommend to teach them the foundation vocab used ielts. They need a preparatory course before diving into IELTS Thanks
mbkudu
Have you tried the Language Media Book Centre in Siam Square? I'm sure they will have something you're looking for. It's right behind the True shop/cafe or whatever that place is supposed to be. 02516335-6 Edited May 17, 2007 by mbkudu
El Taco Loco
I teach IELTS to adv. intermediate and above. Anyone in a lower category would struggle through those boring IELTS books. However, I use SAP Primary Level Complete Vocab. It is not a God-send, but it is well structured and intros vocab gently and effectively. ISBN 981-255-348-7. Good luck. Loaded
Unless they require a band 4 or 5 they need to improve their overall language skills before thinking about preparing specifically for the test.
