Flying to Thailand from Turkey with a 2 day stop in Dubai - when to apply for COE and FTF?

Featured Replies

I'm going to fly to Thailand with my gf and we will be departing from Istanbul. Flight is much cheaper if we stay a day or two in Dubai.

We both have visa exemptions.

Can we apply for COE in Turkey or do we have to do it from Dubai?

Fit to Fly need to be made in Turkey or Dubai?

Then we just need a PCR test again in Dubai before boarding the rest of our flight?

Flying is much cheaper if you stay a day or two in Dubai?  I never heard such thing . I always do directly when going to Thailand and you can't go much lower than those ~430 euros Turkish Airlines charges for Istanbul - Bangkok  direct flight route.

So how much exactly are you going to save by going down that route? Is it worth it?

It looks to me you add unnecessary complications and this is not a good time to do so.

You should ask Turkish Airlines for transit rules.

You will need to apply for the COE at the consulate in Dubai since you have will have such a long layover there.

Staying that long there will make you point of origin Dubai.

You will need a new covid 19 test done in Dubai.

A fit to fly certificate is no longer required starting on April 1st.
