German Politician Calls for Ban on Greta Thunberg Over Pro-Palestinian Protest Involvement
About a month ago, Greta Thunberg was named "Antisemite of the Week" by the grassroots watchdog organization StopAntisemitism. https://stopantisemitism.org/as-week/greta-thunberg/ Her star was fading as an environmental activist and Greta does indeed love the limelight. She found another cause to keep her in TV news broadcasts. For whatever reason, she appears to hate Jews. In one of her social media photos supporting Gaza, she is seen posing with a toy octopus. The octopus had been used by Nazis as a symbol of Jewish dominance of world events. It's still widely used among hardcore antisemites. But it's not surprising Thunberg would become rabidly anti-Israel. Palestinians have become the baby seals of the Left. Activists get outraged over the deaths of Palestinians while ignoring much worse slaughter in Sudan, Syria, Somali and Africa south of the Sahara, such as the Rwandan Genocide and wars and civil unrest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Many Westerners aren't even aware of protraced, large-scale fighting in the DRC, much less that close to six million (!) people have been killed. Same-same when the baby seals got clubbed during the annual Canadian seal hunt. The world saw an outpouring of anger in the press and on the Internet, big protests, calls for boycotts and bans on seal products in 30-some countries. Meanwhile, hunting that drove my species in Africa to the verge of extinction were ignored. -

No, whatever I have said, this has never crossed any boundaries of what most on this forum are dreaming about. In fact, unfortunately, I am one of the very few who is half-way honest in letting my inner being all hang out. In truth, my dreams are tame, compared to many who wash up on these hallowed shores of Thailand, and Pattaya. Also, I never act on my fantasies, unlike some others who have been reported about...on TV, ...as you well know. And, I have never, ONCE, taken a bath, in the nude, in a public fountain, unlike some others that we know of... I am very conservative in my behavior. Although, I do have a FERTILE imagination, as has been said of me...about a year ago, by someone you all know and love, on this Forum. -

Australian non tax resident- non-financial issues.
One minor thing to consider is your passport really isn't a 10 year passport. It's actually a 9.5 year passport. You will not be allowed to board a flight with a passport with less than 6 months validity. Probably ok for a flight back to Australia, but for any other international travel, you need 6 months validity. So, best to get a new passport prior to 9.5 years. I have no idea why this rule is in place. Someone looking to have a 2 week holiday in Thailand, and they still have 5 months left on their passport, what's the problem? -

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think age has something to do with renewing online. Once over a certain age, I don't think you can renew online, because you have to read the eye sight chart. -

Noteworthy as in the context of immigration when they speak of residency I believe they are talking about 'permanent residents' but who knows really.... It specifically does not state 'tax resident' there. -

When you say you are on a Vet's pension, I don't assume it, because you posted it. When you say you are on an old age pension, I don't assume it, because you posted it. Now, we all know you can't be on both pensions, so there's no assumption about me calling you out on it, and rather than explain it to members, or clarify your situation, your deflection is, "You are on my ignore list." -

It was not a long comment about you. I just pointed out that you have previously posted you are on a Vet's pension, and have also posted that you are on an old age pension. You can not be on both pensions, something that you still refuse to clarify. As far as money being deposited into a Thai bank account, show me where I mentioned it in my post. I know this happens. I have many GENUINE Vet friends here. That's how they get their pension here. It's no secret. -

Australian Aged Pension
Hardly. I have already have many consultations with my accountant about restructuring my finances to qualify for the aged pension when the time comes. Nothing illegal. After years of working and paying a lot of tax, I have no problem admitting I feel some sense of entitlement. I may jump on the "free money" band wagon in the future. What you refuse to even consider, is the possibility of the "free money" being 30% less than in the past, because you are not living in Australia, yet, post reasoning or links to suggest otherwise.
