gearbox
I arrived in Thailand mid January and since I was nearing 90 days in the country I went to report in the Samui immigration office. The IO told me that I don't need 90 days report as I changed my visa from TR to Non-O (retirement) mid March, and that shifted my 90 days reporting to mid June. I insisted that I've been in the country 90 days and need to report, she insisted that I don't have to. Is it true that change of visa resets the 90 days for reporting from the day the new visa is issued?
Popular Post ubonjoe
When you applied for the non-o visa you got a new entry stamp that allowed you to stay until the 90 days ends. That new entry reset the 90 day report count to zero. When you apply for a extension of stay it will also reset it to zero again. 1
