Four more Cambodians succumbed to COVID-19; Death toll now 50

The Ministry of Health announced this morning that four more COVID-19 patients, all Cambodians, have passed away from the deadly disease.

 

Three of the victims were receiving treatment in Phnom Penh at the time of their death. Two of them, both men age 65 and 72, were pronounced dead at 7:20 am and 16:02 pm at Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital. Another patient, a 40-year-old Cambodian woman, passed away at 13:10 pm yesterday at Chak Angre Health Centre.

 

The last victim is from Sihanoukville, identified as a 48-year-old woman. Despite the doctors’ attempt to save her life, she passed away at 13:40 pm. With the new deaths, Cambodia’s death toll now has increased to 50.
