It is the job of govt to prepare for the future not just respond to events as they happen.

Thailand doesn't have a government, it has a self elected military commander.

Disagree profusely as do many of your citizens. Why do nearly all statements from him start with a denial ?

Quickly and efficiently? Says the man who made Thailand the nearly slowest country in whole Asia. What a shameless liar, what a negligent person.     Wow, how generous of him! Surely

He said initially, the purchases Thailand made were based on the situation at that time, when the country was successful in containing the outbreak, and the government did not want to put people’s lives at risk since some of the available vaccines used untried technology.

You bought Chinese submarines in order to be prepared for some imaginary future threat to national security, so you said.

By the same token, you could have imagined a future threat to the Thai people's health and purchased enough vaccine a year ago, except your power of imagination was now exhausted and your useless enablers can not see beyond themselves...

But, it's not really about national security and not really about health care, ain't it?$?$?$!

The narrative has to be maintained that this mob saved the people by producing the vaccine themselves. Can't really say much more.

Especially not about the monopoly which was set up as the very first step in producing the vaccine, months before a single millilitre of vaccine was in the country.

This might be a new first.  I think every single sentence was incorrect.

After failing to procure enough vaccines for the people in the first half of 2021, the government is now using its public relations arms to try and raise awareness about Covid-19 in a series of tone-deaf campaigns.

Using humour and playing on their own incompetence, the tongue-in-cheek ads have more people laughing at the government than with the government.

The first campaign was a series of fake Buddhist prayers asking people to stay at home.

Reminds of joke Steve McQueen tells in original Magnificent 7 (>or<)" Man jumped off a ten story building. As he passed each floor, people heard him say 'so far, so good'"

You mean he explained the near total lack of a program?

Or he explained why Thailand is so dreadfully behind the curve?

Or he explained why Thailand is dead last in ASEAN with vaccinations?

Or he explained how we could have been beaten by even the PI?

Or he explained why he did not order a tiny lockdown of a 2km. radius around the Samut Sakhon market, which very well may have led to this huge spike?

Or did he explain why he stuck with a health minister, who has no experience in the medical field, during a national emergency?

Currently, the US is at just over 50% of people with at least one jab, for those over 18 years old, and at over 80% for those over 65. Thailand is at just over 1%. What can one even say?

False statements, false denial, and false bravado do not a plan make.

The PM is a glaring example of The Peter Principle excepting that it was he himself who elevated himself to his own level of incompetence.

I suspect he is painfully aware of his mistake now but resigning as Prime Minister would surely be a gross loss of 'face'.

What firm are they using for public relations?  Is it a Thai firm or an international?
