He seems to be confirming that anything he does is only done with the direct authorisation of the Prime Minister.

I think we all knew that anyway.

He's smarter than we think, he can see the wheels coming off and is now slowly distancing himself from the master who he say's has the final decision on everything.

On the policies regarding the COVID-19 situation, Mr Anutin elaborated that the policies are decided by the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration chaired by the Prime Minister, with orders made in a single command system, while the Ministry of Public Health is obliged to follow the CCSA’s orders.

It's not my fault.  The PM was pulling the strings all along.  I was just following orders.

So Anutin vows to work with doctors, but are the doctors prepared to work  with a man who has absolutely no idea what he is doing.

I’m sure he will have full support from all the Expats who have been showerless and unwashed for the past few years “;0)

"The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed his support to Mr Anutin, the Deputy Minister of Public Health Satit Pitutacha, and other ministerial executives who are considered the government’s frontline, stressing that there are no problems within the Ministry of Public Health."

Almost speechless! "No problems" then why the petition to get rid of Anutin? (208,074 signatures already, many of whom are doctors and nurses)

another maskless photo ! what is this guy, 6 years old ? (emotionally and intellectually it would seem so)

Not his fault...."as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health comes under the Prime Minister, who is highest in the chain of command, stressing that he has always complied with the the Prime Minister’s policies and directions"... that's his get in jail free card used up ... also love the way he says he is willing to work with the medical profession -.1. thats his job and 2. I don't think the willing is reciprocated ????

Why not? He makes it clear in the above statement that as Deputy Prime minister he has no authority and that all decisions are made by Prime Minister Prayut.  As far as the virus goes, all decisions are made by the CCSA so he has no responsibility for those either. Makes you wonder why they bother to employ him.

He's rich

what he really needs is a general's uniform to show his authority. Maybe Prayuth can give him a field commission and some medals, then he will not need a mask

As there is no plan or program let alone public statements from the PM you can expect the situation to get worse. Leadership during this critical period of time is badly needed.

Anutin Charnvirakul said he is willing to continue working with medical and healthcare workers under the Ministry of Public Health.

This is very encouraging. That this great man of wisdom and science is willing continue working with the medical community, during a health crisis. So very reassuring. A grateful nation thanks him for such understanding, humility, wisdom and willingness to help and serve his people. Such an extreme degree of selflessness! Even in the face of criticism. God forbid that a man of his stature ever be criticized.

He has a balance problem, everytime he leans forward, words just dribble out.
