Tom F
I want to go from Jomtien to Bang Sare by motorbike via Sukhumvit. The RULES for doing so appear ambiguous, perhaps intentionally so. (See below) Anyone made the trip in the past few days? No Chonburi travel ban, but district still wants Pattaya locals to apply for permission to leave - Pattaya
scubascuba3
Friends have cycled there with no issues, worse that can happen is they turn you back, unless you have a fever then who knows
champers
According to Pattaya 103FM and their vlog in todays news section, no travel checkpoints are now operating in Pattaya due to health and safety fears for those who staff them. People are requested not to travel between provinces and no more than that.
Jai Dee
Here is a copy of the order to cancel the checkpoint (so I am told). If anyone can translate the order please do and advise the rest of us. There is a degree of uncertainty in the section underlined in red... even Thais are confused by this.

Drove past there on Monday on way to golf at Plutaluang which is much further on. No sign of any checks southbound nor on the way back and this was before they rescinded the orders above. Lot of roadworks with single lane so take more care
sometime
We did that journey yesterday expecting a checkpoint but it was straight through to Pattaya from Bang Sare
Tom F
Just completed the round trip. No checkpoints. Thanks to all for the earlier information, which helped me to decide to do it.
