Extension...

Hello there!

I would like to know if my Tourist Visa's 60th day is on sunday and immigration office is closed, so I have to go there on friday (day 58th), so do I lose those 2 days or are they going to count 30 days extension from sunday?

I just need to know so that I can book my flight away from Thailand after the 30 days extension at the right day...

Thanks!

kaksa, the 30 day extention is added on to the original 60, you don't lose anything. You "can" go the Friday before "or" if Immigration is closed on the date your visa expires, you're allowed to go the Monday after to get your extention and you will not be charged an overstay fee. I didn't believe this either but call the 24 hour Immigration hotline (+1111) and that is the advice they will give you.

Probably better to go sometime before, even earlier than Friday is possible, so you're not on overstay.

Bring: 1) 1,900 baht 2) 2x2 photo 3) copies of data page, visa, current stamp w/tm.6 :o

Thanks Cali!

That is really good to know, because I was thinking that they will add 30 days at the same day I go to the immigration...

Now it is easy to count the day I have to leave from the country after extension!

Thank you!!! :o
