May 21, 200719 yr My son in law like me is on Metformin, his problem is his doctor will only give him two weeks supply at a time and on a couple of occasions he has been caught out when late home. Requests for a small amount as "spare" have been refused. Now I buy mine here for 750 baht a box of 500 tablets and wondered if there were any problems in sending them through the post to him in England , the package would have a complete customs label so they would know what was inside. As far as I am aware Metformin does not fall into the "class A , B C " of drugs but I could be wrong. If they do not then I can see no problem in posting him a box, anyone got any experience in sending medication to UK by post?
May 21, 200719 yr Hey The simple answer is that you CANNOT import prescription drugs into the UK without being licensed. But for the full details, here is the official website Importing Drugs Into UK Kind regards Peter
May 22, 200719 yr He needs to change his Doctor pronto. I have a chronic condition which requires regular drugs and I get 2 months supply at a time. Making him go every two weeks for drugs which he'll be taking long term is just plain stupid.
