BANGKOK (TNA) - The Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration today opened three more non-hospital vaccination stations at Asiatique, Sripatum University and EmQuartier shopping center.

Sanan Angubolkul, chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, said that the private sector was going through a legal process quickly to procure alternative COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister and Defense Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has visited a new COVID-19 vaccination station at Asiatique shopping center. Inoculation there covered about 2,000 people a day.

Sinovac no doubt, the inferior vaccine nobody want...

Seems that more/multiple organizations are going ahead and opening various vaccination centres/hubs etc. And most are well respected organizations.

And it's grown quickly to a point where the gov't., is not challenging them/ is frightened to challenge them.

Oh how it can easily change!

IMHO multiple locations/multiple approaches to vaccination is the way to go. So I'm hoping more of these centres open up and quickly. And hopefully of course vaccine serum is available.

Let's hope of course that all appropriate medical protocols are being followed, and records are being kept accurately so that folks can later get a valid vaccination passport/certificate.

My Thai buddy was just telling me he told his aunty to take photos of the big local pop up tent where they are doing vaccinations, plus photos of signs, documents, location names, name tags on medical workers, bar codes on vaccine boxes/syringes etc., it may help to later get a vaccine passport/certificate, the lady concerned is hoping she can travel soon to see her son and daughter both studying abroad.

This is the government. Its city hall (BMA) who are coordinating all of Bangkok.

Registration: check

Location: check

Vaccine: Oops

At the current rate of vaccination, the stated goal of 50 m will be acheived in 4 1/2 years.

Assuming they have any vaccines of course.

YMMV.

They open more and more locations, but some they set up weeks ago are still sitting there idle. True Digital Park comes to mind, nice setup but nobody to be seen yet.

Hi, friends.  Today I was at EmQuartier, so I thought I’d check out the vaccination station.  However, the EmQuartier information clerk told me that the vaccination station was actually on the 4th floor of the Emporium, directly across from EmQuartier.

So, I went to the Emporium and found the station.  When I went to ask about registering, a staff member apologized and told me that they were serving only Thai people at that time.  She also mentioned that all the people there for shots had previously registered on the “Chuay (?)” app, so it’s not exactly at walk-in.

I must say, it looked like quite an efficient operation.  There were maybe 100+ chairs, socially distanced, and only about 30 members of the public there at that time.  There were quite a few staff members and nurses.
