asiacurious
SOURCE: Whitehouse.gov Quote FACT SHEET: Biden-Harris Administration Unveils Strategy for Global Vaccine Sharing, Announcing Allocation Plan for the First 25 Million Doses to be Shared Globally SNIP Quote Approximately 7 million for Asia to the following countries and entities: India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Maldives, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, Laos, Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, and the Pacific Islands. While not a huge number, it IS a start. Note that this is just the first round of donations. When coupled with the recent visit to Thailand by US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy R. Sherman on June 1-2, this is progress. Quote The Deputy Secretary reiterated the U.S. commitment to the people of Thailand in our fight against COVID-19, which includes $30 million in COVID-related assistance to Thailand. The two sides agreed on the importance of continuing to work together to combat COVID-19. SOURCE

grain
So the US "donates" the vaccines to Thailand, and Thailand sells the vaccines to US citizens and other foreign nationals. Is that how this works? 1
