Samut Prakan reported four new Covid-clusters in the past 24 hours, the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) said on Monday. The province had previously reported 11 clusters.

Of the 2,296 local cases reported nationwide in the past 24 hours (excluding the 91 cases in 14 prisons and 91 imported cases), the highest numbers by province were 943 in Bangkok followed by 321 in Samut Prakan, 265 in Phetchaburi, 106 in Trang, 92 in Samut Sakhon and 86 in Nonthaburi.

“New clusters in Samut Prakan include ones in Amphoe Mueang and Phra Pradaeng districts,” said Dr Taweesin Visanuyothin, the CCSA’s spokesman.

The story of those with mild covid who are not turning up at hospital to be tested. If home quarantine/isolation was accepted and adequate support provided for those who have to do it then you'd probably see more people coming forward for testing. Today's new PUI's, just over 5000.

Jep mai?

So will these figures be reported faithfully or spread over several days to lesson the impact?

13 clusters in migrant camps and 12 clusters in markets, so why are markets allowed to remain open? 1 cluster in a hi-so bar in Bangkok so all bars and entertainment venues closed with no mention of when they might open, hardly logical as there are thousands of people out of work for who knows how long.

There are some of us who believe some bars are safer than markets.

Remember the Thai Airways logo painted over after a Suvarnabhum crash?

The figures must never be high enough to deter tourists.

I think people buy their food there.
