Looking to buy a good Quality BIG size Heavy Duty Stainless Cooking Pot.

Featured Replies

Here in Thailand I can only find Zebra brand that has a very thin base and tends to scorch easily.

There is also another brand here (I forget the name) but its basically the same quality.  I am

looking for similar to what I had in America with a thick base.  Lazada and Shoppe have nothing

like it.

Any ideas folks?

Thank You kindly...

I regularly use Amazon both in the US and UK for those items I struggle to find here.   Even when they are available, they are priced much less in the US which lessens the cost differential of import duty and postage, and you get exactly what you are specifically looking for (you mentioned a pot you had in the US).   The poor exchange rate over the last few years  when something is priced in dollars and you pay in baht.   Items typically take between 7/8 days to reach me here.

I bought a stainless set of saucepans from IKEA. Good quality and not expensive.

I also would recommend a look at IKEA.

Zebra or Seagull has 2 lines of cooking pots: cheap ones with thin bases and more expensive ones with thicker bases. I got stainless pot with a 20 liter capacity for about 5000 baht at Makro

Seagull is the better quality. However Tefal sell their large heavy s/s cooking vessels here also
