July 2, 20215 yr Just saw a post on the PR Pattaya page about a planned water outage on 7 July that will affect most of the Darkside, from Soi Siam Country Club to the street just above the Huai Chak Nok reservoir (Soi Toongklom-Talman). The outage is planned to last from 9am until 6pm, but they recommend having a 2 day supply of water on hand and note that when the water starts up again, it will probably be dirty for awhile. The google translations reads: Announcement of the Provincial Waterworks Authority, Pattaya Branch, subject to temporary cessation of water supply Temporarily for maintenance of transformers inside the Mabprachan Water Generating Station, Pong Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District Chonburi Province On Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. causing water supply in the area flow weak or not flowing in the affected areas, including:1. July 6, 20215 yr Author Haven't seen/heard anything differently. Of note, there will be some outages in the Pattaya area as well coming up. Looks like smaller outages. I didn't bother searching where they were, but they can be found (in Thai) here:https://www.pwa.co.th/news/call1662 https://www.pwa.co.th/news/call1662/2021070600000012https://www.pwa.co.th/news/call1662/2021070600000027 Unfortunately, they don't group the provinces separately and don't translate the news articles.
July 7, 20215 yr Author I'm not sure on Khao Noi as I'm using my tank and pump. Which didn't work during the hour we had a power outage this morning !

July 7, 20215 yr I live just a km off of the east end of Nern Plub Warn. So far today, (it's 1 PM now) we've had no interruption of our water service here. Perhaps they're doing this in small sections? I was prepared for the irritating inconvenience; but I'm very happy that it hasn't happened SO FAR. Keeping my fingers crossed!
July 7, 20215 yr Now 15:00 and we appear to have lost pressure in Khao Talo. Nor sure if the supply is completely off but I am pumping from my cistern now. Plenty of extra water stored and my small submersible pump can transfer this to the cistern as required so no immediate problem. The cistern holds enough for a couple of days anyway, provided that the missus doesn't go mad with the garden hose and doesn't use the washing machine.
