Stuffed animals to Thailand

Featured Replies

Genuinely asking for a friend 555.

Hi, a Thai friend of my wife currently lives in the UK and wants to bring a few stuffed animals back to Thailand.

I have no idea if this is possible so has anyone done the same or can point out any potential hurdles regards custom's clearance/duties etc.

Thanks for reading.

Do you mean taxidermied animals?  Stuffed animal now generally means a toy made of fabric and stuffed with some sort of soft filling.

Shouldn't be a problem as long as the stuffed animals in question are not on the stuffed animals endangered species list in which case you would just be asking for trouble.

Depends what, and how it was done, and has supporting paperwork.

Phone the Customs and ask, they speak good English and the number is in the Cutoms topic pinned atthe top of the forum.

I assume he's not, but just in case the OP is referring to soft toy animals, I fly with my teddy bear in my checked luggage every time and have never been stopped or searched. No declaration and no paperwork required.

At first I thought this was in reference to a "PornHub" title... 555

Sorry, should have said made clear, yes these are taxidermied animals.

As long as it's not stuffed with colourful pills or pungent fronds harvested from a hydroponic basement farm, should be OK.

And also as long as it's not filled to the brim with undeclared cash.

I thought OP meant these with the title

I don't know who that is, but I don't think I am him.

Someone already posted my picture in this thread (not sure how he got it). That's me below:
