Popular Post Oxx
Bit surprised that nobody's reported this yet (AFAIK). Online registration opened at 10 a.m.. Completely impossible to get through to the website. I believe it collapsed completely after 10 minutes. Social media said that registration would reopen at 11 a.m.. Same story. Then registration was supposed to open at noon, which it did. They'd implemented a queueing system (thanks to Cloudflare). I was told there would be a 15 minute wait. Over two hours later I finally got to the head of the queue and through to the site. I entered my 'phone number (I'd been preregistered) and got an SMS with a PIN number. Entered that and was told that there was no availability. Try again tomorrow at 6 p.m.. Utter shambles. Reportedly, large numbers of people gathered at the hospitals to register in person when it became apparent that online registration was not fit for purpose. 1 1
mtls2005
I thought that Samitivej said on Saturday that they were already fully-booked with walk-in reservations - after the death of intervac was announced last week? Ergo, there would be no online registrations. They said they might open something up in August. The various registration systems are really just for show, so that the regime can claim to foreign embassies that they are "doing something". Yes, I'll stipulate that some thousands of foreigners have received a first dose of some vaccine through a patchwork/maze of mor prom, pink card, sosec, work, the odd hospital, family connection, blind luck. Not exactly a plan though. Edited July 12, 2021 by mtls2005 1
KhunBENQ
The loudly announced registration for Phyathai 2 Hospital from 9 AM today was obviously also closed after minutes. I had seriously thought about trying and go to Bangkok for vaccination. But travel to deep red and then risking to be haunted for quarantine when returning home. No thanks. Just seen after writing the above: website of Phyathai crashed quickly. Edited July 12, 2021 by KhunBENQ
ukrules
People with connections are going to Bangkok to get their vaccines. I heard that some companies have an allocation of vaccine for their 'employees' - something like that anyway.
